The Book of Hajj-07a

Machine translationRead the Arabic original
The reciter: 'Umar ibn Hafs ibn Ghiyath narrated to us, saying: My father narrated to us from Ja'far, saying: My father narrated to me from Jabir, in that hadith of his, that the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) said:
I have sacrificed (the animals) here, and the whole of Mini is a place for sacrifice; so sacrifice your animals at your places. 1 have stayed here (near these rocks), and the whole of Arafat is a place for stay. And I have stayed here (at Muzdalifa near Mash'ar al-Haram and the whole of Muzdalifa) is a place for stay نحرت هاهنا ، ومنًى كلّها منحر ، فانحروا في رحالكم ، ووقفت هاهنا ، وعرفة كلّها موقف ، ووقفت هاهنا ، وجمع كلّها موقف
Sahih Muslim 1218c
.

The Shaykh : If someone were to say: Then is it better for us to slaughter in our camps?
We would say: No, that is not the case, because the saying of the Messenger
Slaughter in your camps. انحروا في رحالكم
is a matter of permissibility, meaning: Do not burden yourselves by coming to the place of slaughter where I slaughtered, but slaughter in your camps. So if a person went out to a distant place and slaughtered there, there would be no harm in it, except that the scholars (may Allah have mercy on them) said: What is obligatory to slaughter in the Haram must not be slaughtered in the Halal. Accordingly, if a person slaughtered the hady of tamattu' at 'Arafah, it would not be valid, because he slaughtered it outside the Haram, and the hady of tamattu' is obligatory to be slaughtered in the Haram. This issue also requires attention, because some people go out on the day of 'Id to 'Arafah or other places in the Halal, or to al-Sharai', and slaughter the hady there. We tell them: This is not valid, because the hady of tamattu' must be in the Haram. Every hady for leaving an obligation, or every obligatory hady, must be in the Haram.
And his saying:
All of 'Arafah is a standing place. عرفة كلها موقف
has been discussed previously.
