Chapter on the recommendation of touching the two eastern corners during tawaf, as opposed to the other two corners

Machine translationRead the Arabic original
The reciter: Imam Muslim (may Allah have mercy on him) said in his book on Hajj, in the chapter on the recommendation of touching the two eastern corners during tawaf, as opposed to the other two corners.

The Shaykh : It has been mentioned previously that the Messenger (peace and blessings be upon him) ran in the first three circuits so that the polytheists would see his strength, thereby angering them.
In this is evidence that the polytheists are angered by any strength of the Muslims, and that it is recommended for the Muslim to anger the disbelievers with whatever he is able, whether innate strength, intellectual strength, productive strength, or otherwise, because by this a person attains reward, as the Exalted said:
nor do they tread on any ground that enrages the disbelievers, nor do they inflict upon an enemy any infliction but that is registered for them as a righteous deed ولا يطأون مؤطئا يغيظ الكفار ولا ينالون من عدو نيلا إلا كتب لهم به عمل صالح
[At-Tawbah 9:120]
.
As for this topic... it is the recommendation of touching the two eastern corners during tawaf, as opposed to the other two corners. The wisdom behind this is that the two eastern corners are the ones upon the foundations of Ibrahim, whereas the western and northern ones are not upon the foundations of Ibrahim. Therefore, touching the two eastern corners is better.
This is regarding the original prescribed practice. As for us, we follow the example of the Messenger (peace and blessings be upon him). 'Umar (may Allah be pleased with him) said while kissing the Black Stone: "I know that you are a stone that neither harms nor benefits, but were it not that I saw the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) kissing you, I would not have kissed you."
