A Benefit on the Ruling of Young Men Exposing Their Thighs

The Shaykh : This applies to those whose attention is not drawn to them. As for those whose attention is drawn to them, such as young men, it is obligatory for them to cover what is between the navel and the knee, and this is necessary. This is because the exposure of young men's thighs leads to fitnah (trial, discord or temptation), and fitnah is prohibited by the Shari'ah. Even something that is permissible becomes forbidden if fitnah is feared from it.
