Is it permissible for a woman to use birth control pills on the grounds that she needs to see how her husband is?

Machine translationRead the Arabic original
The questioner : Shaykh?

The Shaykh : Yes.

The questioner : May Allah reward you. Some women, as soon as they get married, do not know what the man is like with them. Perhaps the man is not upright, or things do not go well for her. So she takes, for example, a contraceptive, whether birth control pills or something of that sort, saying, "I will do this until I see, for example, that things are going as they should, and then I will stop using the contraceptive?"

The Shaykh : It is not permissible. I mean, some women use what prevents pregnancy at the beginning of the marriage because they do not know what they will face from the husband. This is not permissible because he has the right. A person should look for good omens and not let the side of bad omens prevail. If she is doubtful about the man, the principle is that she should not agree to him. Did anyone force her to agree to him and marry him? No one forced her. Yes, say, "Oh brother, glory to Allah!" Say, "Oh?"
