The reciter: And Ishaq ibn Ibrahim al-Hanazali and Muhammad ibn Abi Umar both narrated to us from al-Thaqafi. Ibn Abi Umar said: Abd al-Wahhab al-Thaqafi narrated to us from Ayyub from Ibn Abi Mulaikah from al-Qasim from Aisha:
That Salim, the freed slave of Abu Hudhayfah, was with Abu Hudhayfah and his family in their house. So she—meaning the daughter of Suhayl—came to the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) and said, "Indeed, Salim has reached the age of men and understood what they understand, and he enters upon us, and I think that Abu Hudhayfah has something in his heart about that." The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said to her, "Nurse him, so that you become a mahram to him, and what is in Abu Hudhayfah's heart will go away." So she returned and said, "I have nursed him, and what was in Abu Hudhayfah's heart has gone away."
