The Book of Marriage, Breastfeeding, Divorce, Mutual Oath-Swearing, and Manumission-06b

Machine translationRead the Arabic original
The reciter: And Muhammad ibn al-Muthanna narrated to us, and Muhammad ibn Ja'far narrated to us, and Shu'bah narrated to us from Humaid ibn Nafi' from Zaynab bint Umm Salama, who said: Umm Salama said to Aisha:
Indeed, the young man who has reached puberty enters upon you, and I do not like for him to enter upon me. She said: Aisha said: "Is there not in the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) an example for you?" She said: The wife of Abu Hudhayfa said: "O Messenger of Allah, Salim enters upon me, and he is a man, and Abu Hudhayfa has something in his heart regarding him." The Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "Nurse him so that he may enter upon you."
.

The Shaykh : But Aisha's answer, which is the intended point, is that breastfeeding an adult has an effect. Aisha (may Allah be pleased with her) did not have milk, but she would order her sisters to nurse the person she wanted to enter upon her, so that she would become what? His aunt. And in this is evidence of following the example of the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him), and he is a good example, for he (peace and blessings be upon him) did it as an example.
