A note on understanding the texts of the Noble Qur'an?

The Shaykh : And here is a matter we always repeat: that there is no contradiction between the verses of the Noble Qur'an, and that a person must look and reflect until he knows the difference by which the contradiction is resolved. If it had said, "And the earth after that He created it," there would have been a contradiction. But it said, "And He spread it out," so we know that spreading it out is not the same as creating it, because it is mentioned in more than one other verse that He created the earth before the heavens.
