The reciter: Muhammad ibn 'Abd Allah ibn Numayr narrated to us, my father narrated to us, 'Amr ibn Uthman narrated to us, Musa ibn Talhah narrated to us, he said: Abu Ayyub narrated to me
That a Bedouin man intercepted the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) while he was on a journey, so he took the rein of his camel - or its bridle - then he said: O Messenger of Allah - or O Muhammad - inform me of what will bring me closer to Paradise, and what will distance me from the Fire. He said: So the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) held back, then he looked at his companions, then he said: He has certainly been guided, or he has certainly been shown the right path. He said: What did I say? He said: So he repeated it, and the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: Worship Allah and do not associate anything with Him, establish the prayer, give the zakah, and maintain the ties of kinship. Let the camel go.
