The reader: In the name of Allah, the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful.
Praise be to Allah, Lord of the worlds, and may Allah send prayers and blessings upon our Prophet Muhammad, and upon his family and all his Companions.
Muslim (may Allah have mercy on him) said:
Isma'il ibn Mansur narrated to us, Mu'adh ibn Hisham informed us, he said: My father narrated to me, from Qatadah, he said: Anas ibn Malik narrated to us,.
The Shaykh : This hadith has been discussed previously, and we clarified that a hadith like this is for explaining the cause, and a cause must have all its conditions met and its obstacles removed. We give an example to clarify the matter: one of the causes of inheritance is kinship, is that not so? Good, but does every relative inherit from their relative? No, conditions must be met and obstacles removed. So, there is no doubt that this is a cause for a man being forbidden to the Fire, and a cause for his entering Paradise, but conditions must be met and obstacles removed. When we understand this beneficial principle that things are not completed except by the presence of their causes and conditions and the removal of their obstacles, many difficulties disappear for us, not only in these hadiths which are from the hadiths of hope, but also in the other hadiths which are from the hadiths of warning, because there are also hadiths of warning regarding major sins that do not necessitate eternal abode in the Fire, and you will find that the apparent meaning of the verses or hadiths is eternal abode in the Fire, such as killing a believer,[An-Nisa 4:93] and the report of the Prophet: Sahih al-Bukhari 6652 If we took these texts at face value, it would follow that the people of major sins would remain in the Fire eternally, and the Mu'tazilah and the Khawarij said this. And if they took the hadith of Mu'adh and Abu Hurayrah and similar hadiths of hope, it would follow that no sin harms alongside the two testimonies, as the people of the Murji'ah, the extremists of the Murji'ah, said. Therefore, the people of the Sunnah and the community are a middle path between these groups. They said: The verses of warning contain this thing as a cause for this punishment, but the thing is not completed except by the presence of its conditions and the removal of its obstacles, and eternal abode in the Fire is prevented by tawhid (the oneness of Allah). Likewise, these verses of hope and the hadiths of hope are also causes, and they are not completed except by the presence of their conditions and the removal of their obstacles.

That the Prophet of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) and Mu'adh ibn Jabal were riding together on the camel, he said: O Mu'adh, he said: At your service, O Messenger of Allah, and at your command, he said: O Mu'adh, he said: At your service, O Messenger of Allah, and at your command, he said: O Mu'adh, he said: At your service, O Messenger of Allah, and at your command, he said: There is no servant who testifies that there is no god but Allah, and that Muhammad is His servant and His Messenger, except that Allah will make him forbidden to the Fire, he said: O Messenger of Allah, should I not inform the people of this so they may rejoice? He said: If you do, they will become complacent, so Mu'adh informed them of it when he was dying, out of fear of sin.
