(Note) It is known from what has preceded that every one who denies the divine attributes is one who likens Allah to creation, and every one who likens Allah to creation is one who denies the divine attributes.

Machine translationRead the Arabic original
The Shaykh :"Note: It is known from what has preceded that every one who denies the divine attributes is one who likens Allah to creation, and every one who likens Allah to creation is one who denies the divine attributes. As for the denial of the one who denies the attributes, it is apparent. As for his likening Allah to creation, it is because he only denied them on the belief that affirming the attributes necessitates likening Allah to creation; so he first likened Allah to creation, and then denied the attributes. Also, by his denial, he likened Allah to the deficient. As for the likening of the one who likens Allah to creation, it is apparent. As for his denial, it is from three angles:
First: He denied the very text by which the attribute was affirmed, where he made it indicate likening Allah to creation, even though there is no indication of that in it; rather, it indicates an attribute befitting Allah (Mighty and Majestic)."
So he is one who denies the text itself. Indeed, his hands are open. If he says, "Two hands like the hands of the created beings," he has denied the text, because the hand that Allah affirmed for Himself and the text by which it was affirmed does not indicate likening to creation at all; rather, it indicates a hand befitting Allah.
"Second: He denied every text that indicates the negation of Allah being like His creation" So the one who likens Allah to creation gives no weight to the saying of Allah the Exalted:
There is nothing like unto Him ليس كمثله شيء
[Ash-Shuraa 42:11]
.
"Third: He denied Allah the Exalted of His obligatory perfection, where he likened Him to the deficient created being" This is clear. Then the author mentioned things by which the people of figurative interpretation are compared to the people of the Sunnah. He said: "Section: Know that some of the people of figurative interpretation raised an objection against the people of the Sunnah regarding texts from the Book and the Sunnah concerning the attributes, claiming that the people of the Sunnah diverted them from their apparent meaning" The time has ended; we will take questions.
