And among the methods of those who deny the divine attributes, who have denied them of the meaning that Allah and His Messenger intended.

Machine translationRead the Arabic original
The Shaykh :"And among the methods of those who deny the divine attributes, who have denied them of the meaning that Allah and His Messenger intended".
This is another path, different from the first. The first one, in reality, includes both denial of the divine attributes and distortion of the text, because the one who says: "Istawa means He took possession of the Throne," has denied the text of its meaning that Allah intended, and has established for it a new meaning from his own mind. Are you with me, my brothers?
The second path: They denied the text of Allah's intent, but they did not establish for it a meaning.
This is the path of those called the Mufawwidah, the people of ignorance, who, when asked what is the meaning of His saying:
He settled upon the Throne استوى على العرش
? They say: We do not establish for it a meaning, Allah knows best. I say to you, establish a meaning, and they say: We do not establish one.
These people denied the texts of what? Of what Allah intended by them. Allah intended to establish that He rose above the Throne, and these people said what? We do not know. What do they do? We read the Qur'an, but we do not interpret it. We say: You are those who deny the divine attributes; you have denied the text of what Allah intended by it. Do you understand, my brothers? Good, there is a third path.
