Explanation of the author's statement: "As for the one who likens Allah to creation, his likening is apparent. As for the one who denies the divine attributes, his denial is from three aspects: the first of which is..."

Machine translationRead the Arabic original
The Shaykh :"As for the one who likens Allah to creation, his likening is apparent. As for the one who denies the divine attributes, his denial is from three aspects:
The first of which is: that he denied the very text by which the attribute was affirmed, where he diverted it from the implication of what it indicates, for the text indicates the affirmation of an attribute befitting Allah, not the likening of Allah to His creation."

This is denial of the divine attributes. We say to the one who likens Allah to creation: If you say that the statement of Allah the Exalted:
to that which I created with My hands لما خلقت بيدي
[Sad 38:75]
indicates that Allah the Exalted has hands like the hands of the created beings, have you denied the text or affirmed the meaning of the text?
The student: He denied the text.

The Shaykh : He denied the text. Why? Because we know with absolute certainty that the texts transmitted regarding the affirmation of the attributes for Allah Mighty and Majestic indicate attributes that are what? Befitting Him, and do not resemble the attributes of the created beings. So if he makes them indicate attributes that resemble the attributes of the created beings, he has denied them of their meaning. And whoever says that the texts regarding the attributes indicate likening Allah to creation has committed disbelief, because he has lied about the statement of Allah the Exalted:
There is nothing like unto Him, and He is the Hearing, the Seeing. ليس كمثله شيء وهو السميع البصير
[Ash-Shuraa 42:11]
.
So at that time we say: You have denied the text of its meaning, because we know with absolute certainty that the text does not indicate the affirmation of what? The likeness for Allah Mighty and Majestic. Now, this is one.
