Discussion of the Hadith of the Wild Goats.

The Shaykh : The Hadith of the Wild Goats is a hadith narrated by the people of the Sunnah, and the scholars differed regarding its validity. The later scholars rejected it with great force, saying that it cannot be authentic. However, Shaykh al-Islam and Ibn al-Qayyim (may Allah have mercy on them both) consistently use it as evidence, and in their view, its lowest status is that it is a good hadith. Therefore, Shaykh al-Islam and Ibn al-Qayyim cite it as evidence in many places.
