Who says that 'Umrah is not obligatory cites the hadith of Ibn 'Umar: (Islam is built on five...) which does not mention it. How do we respond to him?

Machine translationRead the Arabic original
The questioner : Shaykh, may Allah bless you, how do we respond to the one who cites the hadith of Ibn 'Umar to argue that 'Umrah is not obligatory, and also cites the saying of Allah the Exalted
And [due] to Allah from the people is a pilgrimage to the House
[Ali 'Imran 3:97]
to argue that 'Umrah is not obligatory? The hadith of Ibn 'Umar is that the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said
Islam is built on five
and he mentioned Hajj in it but not 'Umrah.

The Shaykh : What?

The questioner : He mentioned Hajj in it but not 'Umrah.

The Shaykh : Yes.

The questioner : Among the pillars of Islam, it is more authentic than the other hadith, the hadith of 'Aishah.

The Shaykh : But the silence regarding it does not negate its obligation. The Messenger (peace and blessings be upon him) said
Umrah has been entered into Hajj
Jami` at-Tirmidhi 932Sahih (Darussalam)
and he said
'Umrah is a lesser Hajj
so it is a type of Hajj.

The questioner : The other hadith is the hadith of the Bedouin
but it is better for you to perform it
Bulugh al-Maram 710
.

The Shaykh : Yes, he said to him
but it is better for you to perform it
Bulugh al-Maram 710
but it is weak. The hadith of 'Aishah is more authentic than it. In the hadith of Jabir
Hajj and 'Umrah are obligatory
but it is weak.
