Explanation of the author's statement: "For knowledge of that is the most beneficial of all knowledge."

Machine translationRead the Arabic original
The Shaykh : He said: "For knowledge of that is the most beneficial of all knowledge. It is the essence of the divine message and the summary of the Prophetic call, and by it the religion stands firm in speech, action, and belief." I think this is well known. The religion cannot stand firm in speech, action, and belief except by knowing the names of Allah, His attributes, and His actions. For example, if someone told you to worship something, but you did not know what the name of that thing was, and you knew nothing about its attributes or its actions, could you worship it or not? Yes, what would I worship? Show me this object of worship, what is it? What are its names, what are its attributes, what are its actions? So that I may fear it and hope in it, and hope for it. As for something unknown, whose name, attributes, and actions are not known, how is it possible? It has no known effects or signs pointing to it, and it has no attributes that necessitate seeking its favor or humbling oneself before it, and it has no names. This is something that cannot be worshipped. Therefore, the reality of the matter is that worship does not exist except through this.
