Explanation of the author's statement: "3- That one names Allah with what He has not named Himself with"

Machine translationRead the Arabic original
The Shaykh :"The third is that one names Allah with what He has not named Himself with, because the names of Allah are based on revelation". If one attributes to Allah a name by which He has not named Himself, he becomes a deviant who has not brought them in the obligatory manner. An example is "the Christians naming Him 'Father' and the philosophers naming Him 'the Active Cause'". The Christians call Allah the Father. Where did they get 'Father' from? They have no evidence. They have no evidence, so they are deviants because they went beyond what is obligatory regarding the names and attributes of Allah. The names of Allah are based on revelation; it is not permissible for you to attribute a name to Allah except by an explicit text. Reason has no place in this matter. Likewise, the philosophers. The philosophers do not acknowledge Allah (Mighty and Majestic), but they acknowledge that this universe has a Creator, and they call it the Active Cause, meaning the one who brings it into existence. What did these people name Allah with? With what He has not named Himself with. It is also not befitting Him (Glorified and Exalted is He) to be a cause or a father.
