The reader: "And He, the Exalted, said: [Al-Baqarah 2:113] So He informed that each of the two communities denies everything upon which the other is.
And you will find many of the jurists that when they see the Sufis and the worshippers, they do not see them as anything and do not consider them anything but ignorant and misguided, and they do not believe in their path any knowledge or guidance. And you will find many of the Sufis and the ascetics that they do not see the Shari'ah and knowledge as anything, rather they see that the one who holds fast to it is cut off from Allah and that there is nothing with its people that benefits with Allah. And the truth is: that what came from the Book and the Sunnah from this and that is truth, and what contradicts the Book and the Sunnah from this and that is invalid".
The Shaykh : This is the truth, this is the truth that the Shaykh al-Islam (may Allah have mercy on him) mentioned, that we accept the truth from any group, whether from the worshippers and Sufis or from the jurists and scholars of the Shari'ah. As for not accepting anything from these people and saying that all their actions are wrong, that is not correct. Imam Ahmad (may Allah have mercy on him) sometimes would sit with some of the Sufis to soften his heart, because they have a softening of hearts and turning away from the world that is not with others. So neither this nor that; take the truth from any person, whether from a Sufi or a jurist or other. The similarity of this community to the Jews and Christians is that the Sufis do not see the scholars of fiqh and the Shari'ah as anything, and they, the scholars of fiqh and the Shari'ah, do not see what? The Sufis as anything. Yes.
The Jews say "The Christians have nothing [true] to stand on," and the Christians say, "The Jews have nothing to stand on,"
