Machine translationRead the Arabic original
The reader: "As for the madhhab of Malik and his followers, it contains more than that, to the point that Malik said, in what Ibn al-Qasim narrated in the *Mawdu'at*: One does not enter ihram in a non-Arabic language, nor supplicate in it, nor swear oaths in it.
He said:.
He said: "And I dislike praying toward a single stone in the road, but many stones are permissible ".
The Shaykh : It seems he disliked the single stone because it resembles the worship of stones by those who worship a single stone, so he disliked it for that reason.
The student: ... the yellow stone is intended.
The Shaykh : Yes, in his opinion, it is disliked to place a second stone with it.
The student: Place two stones?
The Shaykh : Yes.
The reader: "He said: And it is disliked to leave work on Friday, like the practice of the People of the Book on Saturday and Sunday ".
The Shaykh : We have Saturday and Sunday, but this is not what people practice now. People now work on Friday, especially before the prayer, in order to free themselves for the prayer. This is what the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) encouraged, meaning he is the one who encouraged it when he said: and so on. As for after the prayer, yes, Allah the Exalted said: [Al-Jumu'ah 62:10] But the intention of Shaykh al-Islam Ibn Taymiyyah (may Allah have mercy on him) is to quote from the imams of the madhhabs only, regardless of whether the narration is authentic or weak. Yes.
The reader: "He said: And it is said: Among the ways of honoring Allah is honoring the elderly Muslim. It was asked: "Does a man stand for a man who has virtue and knowledge?" He said: "I dislike that, but there is no harm in making room for him in his seat."
He said: And a woman standing for her husband until he sits is the practice of tyrants. Perhaps people are waiting for him, and when he appears they stand. This is not the practice of Islam. It falls under what is forbidden regarding imitating the People of the Book and non-Arabs.
And in what is not the practice of Muslims, it is more severe than the practice of the Kufans and more eloquent, even though the Kufans exaggerate in this matter, to the point that the followers of Abu Hanifa spoke about declaring as disbelievers those who imitate the disbelievers in their clothing and festivals. And some of Malik's followers said: "Whoever slaughters a watermelon on their festivals is as if he slaughtered a pig."
The Shaykh : Allahu Akbar, Subhan Allah, with the clear difference between a watermelon and slaughtering on festivals. Yes.
The student: What is meant by the Kufans?
The Shaykh : The followers of Abu Hanifa. The Kufans are the followers of Abu Hanifa, and the followers of Ra'y (opinion) are also the followers of Abu Hanifa. He mentioned the followers of Abu Hanifa, then Malik, then al-Shafi'i, as you are hearing now.
He said:
And 'Umar (may Allah be pleased with him) forbade the gibberish of non-Arabs and said: It is foul
