Explanation of the Book of Purification-01

Machine translationRead the Arabic original
The Shaykh :"And from Abu Sa'id al-Khudri (may Allah be pleased with him), who said: The Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) said:
Verily water is pure and is not defiled by anything. إن الماء طهور لا ينجسه شيء
Sunan Abi Dawud 67Sahih (Al-Albani)
It was narrated by the three, and Ahmad graded it as authentic."

"The water": meaning the genus of water, for the article "al" here indicates the genus, encompassing all types of water. "Purifying": meaning that which purifies, because we said that the purifying thing is what? It is that by which one becomes pure.
Verily water is pure and is not defiled by anything. إنّ الماء طهور لا ينجّسه شيء
Sunan Abi Dawud 67Sahih (Al-Albani)
The word "thing" is an indefinite noun in a context of negation, so it encompasses everything that falls into the water, for it does not make it impure. And it is known that this generality is not intended, without doubt, because if impurity falls into the water and changes it, then it becomes impure by consensus. Accordingly, this generality is restricted to what is changed by impurity, for it becomes impure by consensus. For this reason, the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said regarding fat in which a mouse falls: "
Throw it away and what is around it ألقوها وما حولها
" because it and what is around it will become impure, because when it dies, its smell becomes foul, and the fat becomes foul with it.
