Continuation of the Explanation of the Hadith: “Indeed, water is pure and nothing makes it impure”

The Shaykh : By scholarly consensus, and on this basis, this general statement is restricted to what has been changed by ritual impurity, for it becomes ritually impure by scholarly consensus. For this reason, the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said regarding fat in which a mouse falls: because it and what is around it will become ritually impure, for when it dies, its smell becomes foul, and the fat becomes foul with it.
