The Shaykh : The answer is by distinguishing between them. Even the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) distinguished between menstrual blood and irregular non-menstrual bleeding, saying meaning the blood of irregular non-menstrual bleeding. If it were not for the fact that a person fears committing a sin, one would say that any blood other than menstrual blood that comes from the front passage is pure. However, if we investigate and see that everything with substance, other than semen, that comes from the passage is ritually impure, yes.
