What is the ruling on wiping over socks for one who washed his right foot, then put it into the sock, and then did the same with his left foot?

Machine translationRead the Arabic original
The Shaykh : He says: What do you say about this opinion? If a person washes his foot in the ablution, then puts it into the sock, and then washes the second foot and puts it into the sock, is it not permissible for him to wipe? I say: This is the well-known view among most scholars, because in some wordings of the hadith:
When one of you performs ablution and wears the socks إذا توضأ أحدكم ولبس الخفين
Sunan ad-Daraqutni 1:677
and the ablution is not complete except by washing both feet together. However, Shaykh al-Islam Ibn Taymiyyah (may Allah have mercy on him) holds that it is permissible, and he says: His statement:
He put them in while they were pure أدخلتهما طاهرتين
includes the case where he puts each foot in after purifying it, or if he waits. The precaution is not to do so until he has completed his ablution.
