Explanation of the Book of Purification-16

Machine translationRead the Arabic original
The Shaykh :"And from 'Aishah (may Allah be pleased with her), she said:
Allah’s Messenger (ﷺ) used to mention Allah’s Name (praise Him) at all times. كان رسول الله صلى الله عليه وسلم يذكر الله على كل أحيانه
Bulugh al-Maram 78
Muslim narrated it, and al-Bukhari reported it as a hanging hadith"
:
The Prophet would remember [Allah]. The scholars of usul al-fiqh (the principles of jurisprudence) mentioned that if the verb in the report is in the imperfect tense, it generally indicates continuity, but not always. It generally indicates continuity: "He would do it" means he did it consistently, and this is the general rule, not an absolute one.
The evidence that it indicates the general rule is that it is established in the Sunnah that the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him)
used to recite in Jumu'ah prayer: 'Glorify the Name of your Lord, the Most High'(Al-A'la 87) and: 'Has there come to you the narration of the overwhelming (i.e. the Day of Resurrection)?"(Al-Ghashiyah 88) كان يقرأ في صلاة الجمعة بسبح والغاشية
Sunan an-Nasa'i 1422Sahih (Darussalam)
, and the other wording is:
he used to recite in Jumu'a prayer Surahs Jumu'a and al-Munafiqin كان يقرأ في صلاة الجمعة بالجمعة والمنافقين
Sahih Muslim 879a
. If we said that "would" indicates absolute continuity, there would be a contradiction and conflict between the two hadiths. But we say that it indicates continuity generally, not absolutely.
