The questioner : This message reached us from Makkah from al-Khansa. Al-Khansa is, of course, a district in the Noble City of Makkah. She says, or rather the sender says, M B S H: I took a man’s garment from his house and took money from him many times, and I do not know, by Allah, the amount of this money that I took, and when I grew up I repented to Allah and I heard a hadith that warns strictly against one who takes such money. Please advise us, may Allah preserve you and care for you?
The Shaykh : It is obligatory for you to repent to Allah (Glorified and Exalted is He) for what you did, and to contact the owner of this money and settle with him on whatever you both agree to pay him for what you took. So you must look for this man and agree with him on anything, whether little or much, that achieves the objective and clears your conscience.
The questioner : Yes, may Allah reward you.
Ladies and gentlemen, we have reached the end of this session in which we presented the messages of the gentlemen.
