Explanation of the Book of Prayer-03

Machine translationRead the Arabic original
The Shaykh : He says: "And from Ibn 'Umar (may Allah be pleased with them both) that the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said:
The shafaq is the redness الشفق الحمرة
Al-Daraqutni narrated it, and Ibn Khuzaymah and others authenticated it, and they stopped it at Ibn 'Umar"
The shafaq الشفق
This refers to the last time for the Maghrib prayer, when the shafaq disappears. So what is the shafaq? Is it the redness or the whiteness? This hadith, whether from Ibn 'Umar or from the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him and his family), clarifies that the shafaq is the redness that follows the setting of the sun. This redness lasts for about ninety minutes; it may increase slightly or decrease more, meaning it may reach seventy-five minutes or reach ninety minutes depending on the seasons. But when the shafaq disappears, meaning when the direction of the sunset turns white, that means the time for Maghrib has ended and the time for 'Isha' has entered. If you examine the order, you will find that this hadith should be placed in what precedes, meaning this is not its place, for it should follow the explanation of the times of the five prayers, not be in the context of the prohibited times. But perhaps the author (may Allah have mercy on him), when he wrote the book, overlooked this; he overlooked this, and every person is subject to forgetting. Now, is there another shafaq besides the redness? Yes, there is the shafaq of whiteness. The shafaq of whiteness lags far behind, until about a third of the night. It is not considered; the consideration is for the shafaq of redness.
