Then Allah the Exalted said:
you approach men and obstruct the road and commit in your meetings [every] evil إِنَّكُمْ لَتَأْتُونَ الرِّجَالَ وَتَقْطَعُونَ السَّبِيلَ وَتَأْتُونَ فِي نَادِيكُمُ الْمُنكَرَ
[Al-'Ankabut: 29] to the end of it. In this is evidence that the caller should mention all the bad descriptions of the one being called, so that it is more effective in rebuking him and deterring him, because he mentioned several descriptions.
And among the benefits of the verse is what the people of Lut were doing of evil and corruption, other than the lewd act which is sodomy, namely cutting off the road and committing the abomination in their assembly. And we begin the new lesson now.
