Continuation of the benefits of His saying, the Exalted: << مثل الذين اتخذوا من دون الله أولياء كمثل العنكبوت . . . . . . . . . . . . . . >> .

Is the path of guidance knowledge of the natures of things and what Allah created in the universe, or is it knowledge of Allah (Mighty and Majestic)? It is knowledge of Allah and His cosmic and legislative signs, not merely a person looking into what is in this universe, for he may look into it and not benefit. From this we take the error of many people who say regarding His saying, the Exalted: that they are the scholars of the universe. If that were the case, the scholars of astronomy, the layers of the earth, biology, and others would be the ones who fear Allah, and the scholars of the Shari'ah of Allah would be below them in fear, and this is impossible.
