Exegesis of the saying of Allah the Exalted: “And you did not make your adopted sons your [real] sons. That was only your saying with your mouths.”

Machine translationRead the Arabic original
Allah the Exalted said:
And He has not made your wives whom you declare unlawful your mothers. وَمَا جَعَلَ أَزْوَاجَكُمُ اللَّائِي تُظَاهِرُونَ مِنْهُنَّ أُمَّهَاتِكُمْ
[Al-Ahzab 33:4]
We have not finished the discussion. Now, what is the *mudhaharah* (variant reading), Khalid? It is in the reading that has the addition, because it has an added letter, and a letter carries ten good deeds. Do you understand? So, according to this view, which of the three readings do you choose?
The student:
You claim تظّاهرون

The Shaykh :
You claim تظّاهرون
Meaning, this one has the most letters. Some scholars say it is best to read with every reading, to adopt every reading: read with this one once and with that one once. Yes. Which is stronger? The correct view is the latter: that you read with this one once and with that one once, if you know them, in order to know that every reading is authentic from the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him), and you read with it for two benefits... except for one, for two benefits.
The first benefit: acting upon both Sunnahs.
The second benefit: preserving these readings. Therefore, we now, when we rely on the reading we have, do not know the other readings. So, when it is said to a person that he should read with every authentic reading, this leads to the preservation of the readings. For this reason, it is incumbent upon the younger ones among us, and it is not [incumbent] upon the elders, as memorization is difficult for them, but the younger ones should strive to read and learn them in order to act upon the Sunnah, so that this does not remain neglected. Yes. His saying:
Your mothers أمهاتكم
Its grammatical analysis. Yes, Abd al-Rahman.
