The benefits of the saying of Allah the Exalted: ((When Zayd had fully discharged his desire for her, We married her to you...))

Machine translationRead the Arabic original
And among the benefits of this noble verse is that marriage is not valid until the right of the first husband to the wife has completely ended. Yes, because of His saying:
So when Zayd had no longer any need for her, We married her to you
[Al-Ahzab 33:37]
So the marriage took place after Zayd had completely finished with her. It is not valid to object to this by saying that the apparent meaning of the verse permits marriage immediately after divorce, because we say that the discharge of desire and need does not end until the waiting period ends, since if a man wanted to take back his wife during the waiting period, and she was in a state where he could take her back, he would be able to do so.
And among the benefits of this noble verse is the affirmation of the greatness of Allah (Mighty and Majestic) and His dominion, because of His saying:
But Allah has more right to be feared by you
due to His greatness and dominion.
And among the benefits of this noble verse is the virtue of Zaynab (may Allah be pleased with her), in that Allah (Blessed and Exalted is He) married her to His Messenger (peace and blessings be upon him). What is the point of this? That others are married off by their guardians and their people, whereas Allah (Mighty and Majestic) took charge of marrying her off. This is a great merit for her.
And among its benefits is that Allah (Blessed and Exalted is He) rewards His servant more than his deed, because this woman, as mentioned previously, was married to Zayd ibn Harithah, even though Zayd was a freed slave and she was of pure Arab descent. There may have been some diminishment of her right and status in that. So Allah the Exalted elevated her status by marrying her to His Messenger Muhammad (peace and blessings be upon him) Himself, (Blessed and Exalted is He). Undoubtedly, this is an elevation of her status. So after she was under this freed slave, and she was of pure Arab descent, and there was something of a stigma upon her in that, Allah elevated her status by this matter.
And among the benefits of this noble verse is that what is established regarding the Prophet in terms of rulings is established for the Ummah. Who are we taking this from, my brother? The one behind, no, the one in front, between you two, yes, you. Where is the microphone, everyone? How do you not know? After sleeping or before sleeping? After sleeping, you don't know. I mean, if you didn't sleep, okay. Muhammad, what is the point of this?
The student: The point of this is that this ruling... is for the Muslims.

The Shaykh : Yes, because this ruling was addressed to the Messenger (peace and blessings be upon him), then
in order that there not be upon the believers any discomfort concerning the wives of their adopted sons when they no longer have need of them
[Al-Ahzab 33:37]
So that indicates that what is established for the Messenger (peace and blessings be upon him) in terms of rulings, his Ummah follows him in, except for what evidence exists to specify. Clear.
And among the benefits of this noble verse is the permissibility of a man marrying the wife of the person he adopted. Who are we taking this from?
in order that there not be upon the believers any discomfort concerning the wives of their adopted sons
[Al-Ahzab 33:37]
.
And among its benefits is that an adopted son is not called a son in the Shari'ah, nor is he called a son by Allah, because of His saying:
their adopted sons أدعيائهم
and His saying at the beginning of the surah
And he has not made your adopted sons your [true] sons
[Al-Ahzab 33:4]
And branching from this benefit is that the saying of the Exalted:
the wives of your sons who are from your [own] loins
[An-Nisa 4:23]
that this restriction is not to exclude the adopted son, because he did not enter into the category of sons in the first place, so he does not need to be excluded.
