The benefits of the saying of Allah the Exalted: “And to Sulayman [We granted] the wind, whose morning journey was a month and whose evening journey was a month”

Machine translationRead the Arabic original
Allah the Exalted said:
And to Solomon [We subjected] the wind - its morning [journey was that of] a month - and its afternoon [journey was that of] a month وَلِسُلَيْمَانَ الرِّيحَ غُدُوُّهَا شَهْرٌ وَرَوَاحُهَا شَهْرٌ
[Saba 34:12]
Among the benefits of this noble verse is that Allah the Exalted may subject certain cosmic phenomena to some of His servants as a sign for them. As you know, no one is able to direct the wind as they wish, but it was subjected to Sulayman, moving by his command. From this, it is derived that Allah may subject certain cosmic phenomena to some of His servants as a sign, just as He did here. Is it possible for such a thing to happen to anyone other than the messengers? It appears that it is not possible. What is mentioned about some of the caliphs, that Allah the Exalted subjected the wind to them so that they could command it as they wished and transport their armies, is questionable in terms of its authenticity. It appears that a sign like that of the prophets does not become a miracle (karamah) for the awliya (close friends of Allah). It is true that some of the signs of the prophets can become miracles for the awliya, but as for the major signs like this one, it appears, and Allah knows best, that they do not become miracles.
And among the benefits of this noble verse is that the wind has a tremendous speed, as stated in:
its morning [journey was that of] a month - and its afternoon [journey was that of] a monthغُدُوُّهَا شَهْرٌ وَرَوَاحُهَا شَهْرٌ
[Saba 34:12]
