The benefits of the saying of Allah the Exalted: ((And the [angels] who arrange themselves in rows * And those who warn with warning * And those who recite the remembrance))
Machine translationRead the Arabic original
Allah the Exalted said [As-Saffat 37:1-2] to the end of it. In these three verses, Allah Mighty and Majestic swears by the angels in terms of their attributes: arranging themselves in rows, warning, and reciting. This is because each of these attributes indicates the greatness of the Creator, Mighty and Majestic.
Among the benefits of the noble verse is the virtue of the angels in their three states: arranging themselves in rows, warning, and reciting. This is because one does not swear except by what is worthy of being sworn by.
If someone asks, "How did Allah the Exalted swear by a created being, since the angels are created, while swearing by a created being is shirk (associating partners with Allah)?" The answer to that is that Allah, Blessed and Exalted, has the right to swear by whatever He wills of His creation, because He is the Owner. Just as He, Blessed and Exalted, has the right to command whatever He wills, even if it were shirk, or injustice and oppression. Have you not seen the command of Allah the Exalted for the angels to prostrate to Adam? Prostration to other than Allah is shirk, but Allah has the right to command whatever He wills. Have you not seen His command to Ibrahim al-Khalil to slaughter his son? Slaughtering a son is among the greatest of major sins, yet by the command of Allah it became obedience to Allah the Exalted. Similarly, swearing by other than Allah is shirk, but despite this, Allah has the right to swear by whatever He wills of His creation.
However, it must be known that Allah does not swear by anything of His creation unless that thing is among the greatest of His signs. Thus, the swearing by this created being includes the swearing by the signs of Allah the Exalted, which are His actions, because the greatness of the created being indicates the greatness of the Creator.
Among the benefits of the noble verse is that one of the attributes of the angels is arranging themselves in rows. Allah the Exalted said[As-Saffat 37:165] And the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said Sunan Ibn Majah 992
Now, among the benefits of the noble verse is that the angels are in charge of the action of warning, such as warning the clouds and warning the disbelievers when they are on their deathbeds, as He said
Among the benefits of the noble verses is that the angels recite the remembrance, meaning they recite the Qur'an. This indicates the performance of worship of Allah by the angels and the virtue of the Qur'an, since the angels recite it, as He the Exalted said
