The benefits of the saying of Allah the Exalted: ((And they will say, "Oh, our misery! This is the Day of Judgment, the Day of Decision about which you used to lie."))

Machine translationRead the Arabic original
Among the benefits of the verses is that these deniers will call out on the Day of Resurrection for woe, calamity, and destruction, as they said:
Oh, our misery! This is the Day of Judgment
Just as Allah the Exalted said in another verse:
[They will be told], "Do not cry this Day for one destruction but cry for much destruction."
[Al-Furqan 25:14]

Among the benefits of the verses is the realization of this statement, that it is a reality as present as the here, as He the Exalted said:
They will say, "O woe to us! وقالوا يا ويلنا
[As-Saffat 37:20]
He expressed the future in the past tense to indicate the certainty of its occurrence.
Among the benefits of the verses is that people will be gathered on the Day of Resurrection and recompensed for their deeds. This is derived from His saying:
This is the Day of Judgment
The outcome for creation will be that they are gathered on the Day of Resurrection, that they are recompensed for their deeds, and that this recompense is final, with no deed after it and no delay before it, as He said:
This is the Day of Judgment

Among the benefits of the verses is that the Day of Resurrection is the Day of Decision, meaning judgment between people and the distinction of some from others, as He said:
This is the Day of Decision

Among the benefits of the verses is also the confirmation of these deniers, as He said:
which you used to deny." الذي كنتم به تكذبون
[As-Sajdah 32:20]
The aspect of confirmation is that when a person witnesses what he used to deny, he will say to the one who led him to this denial or who agreed with him: "Look, you used to say that it was a lie and would not happen. Look now, it has happened." This will increase his regret and remorse for not believing in this Day.
