Commentary on Tafsir al-Jalalayn: ((So some of them)) some of the people of Paradise ((turned to one another)) asking about what passed through them in this world.

Machine translationRead the Arabic original
So some of them فاقبل بعضهم
some of the people of Paradise turned to one another
asking one another يتساءلون
some of the people of Paradise who are the sincere servants of Allah turned to one another, and it has been mentioned previously that they were on couches facing one another, but the turning here is explained by his saying
on thrones facing each other على سرر متقابلين
but the turning here is explained by his saying
asking one another يتساءلون
meaning that some of them began to ask others, with some of them facing others, as is the etiquette in addressing someone: you do not address a person unless you are facing him with your whole body. So they were like that, turning to one another, asking about what passed through them in this world. And if you wish, say they were asking about all their conditions in this world and the Hereafter, because the verse is absolute, and what Allah has made absolute should not be restricted. And what was mentioned of the story is, for example, among the examples they speak of.
