The benefits of the saying of Allah the Exalted: ((So they turned toward it, hastening)).
Machine translationRead the Arabic original
Among the benefits of this noble verse in His saying [As-Saffat 37:94] is the clarification of the intensity of these people's support for their idols, because His saying "so they turned" indicates sequence, immediacy, and causality as well. That is, because of what was done with this idol, they turned toward it, hastening. And the letter "fa" (so), as you know, indicates sequence and immediacy. Thus, it serves as evidence of the intensity of these people's support for their idols, despite the invalidity of these idols.
Among the benefits of this noble verse is that gathering has an effect, even in falsehood, due to His saying, meaning collectively. When people gather, some of them become a back for others. It is well known that a person gains victory and strength through others.
Branching from this benefit is that if a person intends to do an important deed and fears he will be unable to do it alone, it is better for him to seek help from others. He should not say that this is seeking help from other than Allah, because Allah said to His Prophet Muhammad (peace and blessings be upon him)[Al-Anfal 8:62-63]. This is not considered a deficiency in reliance upon Allah (Mighty and Majestic), because the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) is the master of those who rely on Allah. Yet, Allah said [Al-Anfal 8:62] and said [Ali 'Imran 3:159]. This is a point that some people overlook. You find one intending a great matter but not taking supporters for it. There is a consideration in this behavior. However, wisdom must be observed regarding these supporters. Is the wisdom that they all go together... or that they agree on the opinion even if they go separately? I say that wisdom must be employed here, because it may be wise for them to go together, and it may be wise for them to go separately but agree on one opinion. This actually returns to the deed they want to agree upon and the opponent they want to face. Some people may be affected by a large group and submit to them, while some people may be seized by arrogance in sin and think this is a display against them, so they do not accept from him any diversion or correction. The important thing is that gathering on a matter is a cause of pride and victory. But how is the matter we gathered on to be dealt with? Is it to be dealt with individually or collectively? This returns to what the situation requires, and a person should employ wisdom in that.
The reciter: [Surat al-Saffat: 102].
The Shaykh : I seek refuge in Allah from the accursed Shaytan. Allah the Exalted said:[As-Saffat 37:97] I think...
Then the people came toward him, hastening.

If you had spent all that is in the earth, you could not have brought their hearts together; but Allah brought them together. Indeed, He is Exalted in Might and Wise.
