Then Allah the Exalted said: [Az-Zumar 39:29] to the end of it. Among the benefits of this noble verse is that this verse is an application of His saying: [Ar-Rum 30:58] because this is a parable.
And among its benefits is that the parable of one who worships others alongside Allah is like a slave in whom are partners who dispute, quarrel, and contend with one another. The reason for this is that the heart of this one who worships others alongside Allah was not pure for Allah; partners from the right and the left contended for it until it was lost among them.
And among the benefits of this noble verse is that Allah the Exalted brings a report or something else, then He makes it clear to the addressee in the best manner. This is in His saying:[Hud 11:24] So what is the purpose of this interrogative that implies negation?
The student: ...
The Shaykh : To confirm what was mentioned and to compel the addressee to accept it.
And among the benefits of the noble verse is that Allah the Exalted is worthy of praise for the perfection of His tawhid (the oneness of Allah), as He said:
And among its benefits is that absolute praise is only for Allah (Mighty and Majestic). As for others, if they are praised, it is not absolute praise, but rather they are praised for a specific thing and a specific part of what they are praised for. As for absolute praise, it is for Allah, Lord of the worlds (Mighty and Majestic), because He is the One praised in every state. And the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him), when something that pleased him came to him, would say:Sunan Ibn Majah 3803Da'if (Darussalam) And when something that displeased him came to him, he would say: Jami` at-Tirmidhi 2738Hasan (Darussalam).
And among the benefits of the noble verse is that most of the children of Adam do not know the realities... and even if they knew them, they would not benefit from them, as He said:[An-Nahl 16:75].
Then He the Exalted said:
Allah presents an example: a slave owned by quarreling partners
