Machine translationRead the Arabic original
His saying:
Indeed, those who disbelieve in the verses of Allah will have a severe punishment إن الذين كفروا بآيات الله لهم عذاب شديد
[Ali 'Imran 3:4]
What is its connection to what came before it?
The student: After mentioning al-Furqan, and al-Furqan distinguishes the false from the true and separates disbelief from faith, then He detailed those who disbelieved and those who believed,

The Shaykh : meaning, when He mentioned that these books are guidance and al-Furqan, He mentioned the division of people into disbelief and faith, so He mentioned the ruling for the disbelievers. His saying:
and Allah is exalted in Might, the Owner of Retribution. والله عزيز ذو انتقام
[Ali 'Imran 3:4]
Mighty, O Ghannam?
The student: Mighty, the Prevailing, is that all? The Mighty is the One possessing might, okay, and what is might?
The student: The might of power, the might of subjugation, and the might of being free from defects,
The Shaykh : Yes. What is the meaning of the might of power, O Khalil?
The student: Power? I ask, what is the meaning of power, the might of power?
The student: The One possessing power,

The Shaykh : meaning, the One possessing great power, and power means honor and nobility and the like. The might of subjugation, O Shaybah?
The student: He, (Glorified and Exalted is He), is the Subjugator above His servants,

The Shaykh : A Subjugator who is not overcome, rather He is the Prevailing, yes. The third: the might of being free from defects, O Yusuf?
The student: Every attribute that does not befit His Majesty is impossible for Him,

The Shaykh : Every defect and shortcoming is impossible for Him. His saying:
The One of Retribution ذو انتقام
What is its meaning, O Ahmad? O Khalid?
The student: The One possessing retribution,

The Shaykh : That is, the One possessing retribution, that is, the One possessing retribution. Does this indicate that retribution for Allah is an absolute attribute? The student: No, rather it is qualified,

The Shaykh : He is the One possessing retribution in its proper place, and for this reason it came as an indefinite noun. He said:
The One of Retribution ذو انتقام
Retribution from whom? From the criminals. Well done. Now we return to the benefits?
