Continuation of the benefits of the verse: (( ... Indeed, those who disbelieve in the verses of Allah will have a severe punishment, and Allah is the Mighty, the Avenger )).

Machine translationRead the Arabic original
I seek refuge in Allah from the accursed Shaytan. In the name of Allah, the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful.
(5) Indeed, from Allah nothing is hidden in the earth nor in the heaven. (6) It is He who forms you in the wombs however He wills. There is no deity except Him, the Exalted in Might, the Wise. (7) It is He who has sent down to you, [O Muhammad], the Book; in it are verses [that are] precise - they are the foundation of the Book - and others unspecific. As for those in whose hearts is deviation [from truth], they will follow that of it which is unspecific, seeking discord and seeking an interpretation [suitable to them]. And no one knows its [true] interpretation except Allah. But those firm in knowledge say, "We believe in it. All [of it] is from our Lord." And no one will be reminded except those of understanding.
[Ali 'Imran 3:5-7]
I seek refuge in Allah, the All-Hearing, the All-Knowing, from the accursed Shaytan. Allah the Exalted said:
Indeed, from Allah nothing is hidden in the earth nor in the heaven.
[Ali 'Imran 3:5]
And I think we have taken the benefits? Are there any remaining? Yes. Allah the Exalted said:
and Allah is exalted in Might, the Owner of Retribution.
[Ali 'Imran 3:4]
It has preceded us that al-'Izzah (Might) has three categories, so it is derived from this noble verse: affirming one of the names of Allah, which is al-Aziz (the Mighty), with the three previous meanings. And among the benefits of the verse: that Allah the Exalted is described with vengeance, as He said:
The One of Retribution
But this is not in an absolute sense, rather He takes vengeance from those who deserve it, namely the criminals, as Allah the Exalted said:
Indeed We, from the criminals, will take retribution.
[As-Sajdah 32:22]
For this reason, the name al-Muntaqim (the Avenger) did not come from the names of Allah in an absolute sense, but rather it came qualified
Indeed We, from the criminals, will take retribution.
[As-Sajdah 32:22]
or it came as an indefinite attribute, such as:
The One of Retribution
meaning the one who possesses vengeance, and this does not lead to, or does not indicate, the absolute attribute that He is described as al-Muntaqim (the Avenger), because vengeance is praise in its proper place, and in other places it is not praise. So if vengeance is required by wisdom, it becomes praise, otherwise it does not.
