Continuation of the benefits of the verse: “It is He who forms you in the wombs as He wills. There is no deity except Him, the Exalted in Might, the Wise.”

Among the benefits of this noble verse is the affirmation of the exclusivity of Allah (Mighty and Majestic) in oneness of worship, based on His saying: . Another benefit is the affirmation of the two noble names: al-Aziz (the Exalted in Might) and al-Hakim (the Wise), and the attributes they imply. It has been mentioned to us that every name of Allah indicates the Essence and the attribute derived from it. Every name, if it is transitive, contains a third indication, which is the effect resulting from it. For example, al-Sami' (the All-Hearing) affirms the attribute of hearing, which is hearing itself, and the effect, which is that He hears. Similarly, al-'Alim (the All-Knowing) is the same. As for names that are not transitive to others, they affirm only the name and the attribute, such as al-Hayy (the Ever-Living), al-'Azhim (the Magnificent), and al-A'la (the Most High); these do not transit to others.
