A discussion regarding the saying of Allah the Exalted: ((And none knows its interpretation except Allah)).

Machine translationRead the Arabic original
The saying of Allah the Exalted:
And no one knows its [true] interpretation except Allah وما يعلم تأويله إلا الله
[Ali 'Imran 3:7]
has two positions among the Salaf. The first position is to stop at:
Except Allah. إلا الله
, and the second is to connect. So what is the explanation of each of the two recitations? No, and what is the meaning of ta'wil (interpretation) with this stop? No, it is the outcome and the reality upon which this thing is based. Yes? The ambiguous verses are known by none except Allah. Good.
And with the recitation of connection? The meaning becomes ta'wil (interpretation)? What is the meaning of ta'wil (interpretation) with this recitation, the recitation of connection? It is tafsir (exegesis), its meaning is tafsir (exegesis), meaning this tafsir (exegesis) of the ambiguous verses is known by none except Allah and those firmly grounded in knowledge, as for those whose knowledge is superficial, they do not know the ta'wil (interpretation) of these ambiguous verses. Yes? Good, among the ambiguous verses are verses that appear to contradict each other, like, brother? Like the saying of Allah the Exalted:
Allah has sent down the best statement: a consistent Book الله نزل أحسن الحديث كتابا متشابها ...
[Az-Zumar 39:23]
No, Khalid? Verses that appear to contradict each other become ambiguous to some people, so they think there is a contradiction in the Qur'an, so they follow this ambiguous verse and use it to confuse people, but those firmly grounded in knowledge know the aspect of these verses and there is no contradiction in them. The saying of Allah the Exalted: And in Surat al-Rahman He said:
Then on that Day none will be asked about his sin among men or jinn. فيومئذ لا يسأل عن ذنبه إنس ولا جان
[Ar-Rahman 55:39]
But those firmly grounded in knowledge know the aspect of that and they carry each verse in a way that does not contradict the other verse. Good, and there are also many precise verses, there are many verses to which Shaykh Muhammad al-Shanqiti (may Allah have mercy on him) referred in his book which he named: "Refuting the Suggestion of Contradiction in the Verses of the Book", and it is a good and beneficial book for the student of knowledge.
I seek refuge in Allah from the accursed Shaytan.
(10) Indeed, those who disbelieve - never will their wealth or their children avail them against Allah at all. And it is they who are fuel for the Fire. (11) [Theirs is] like the custom of the people of Pharaoh and those before them. They denied Our signs, so Allah seized them for their sins. And Allah is severe in penalty. (12) Say to those who disbelieve, "You will be overcome and gathered together to Hell, and wretched is the resting place."
[Ali 'Imran 3:10-12]
