Discussion regarding the saying of Allah the Exalted: “Say to those who disbelieve: You will be defeated and gathered into Hell, and evil is the resting place.”

Machine translationRead the Arabic original
Allah the Mighty and Majestic said:
You will be defeated and gathered ستغلبون وتحشرون
Is there a second reading?
They will be defeated and gathered سيغلبون ويحشرون
The reading with the yā’ is
They will be defeated and gathered سيغلبون ويحشرون
. Here, Allah (Glorified and Exalted is He) mentioned the state of these disbelievers in this world and their state in the Hereafter. What is their state in this world? They are defeated in this world and gathered into Hell on the Day of Resurrection. Well done. So they are in loss in this world and in the Hereafter. Is there anything in the Qur'an that testifies to this verse, that the end of those who disbelieve is defeat in this world and the Fire in the Hereafter? Something like this verse, or if not exactly like it, it is like it in meaning but differs in wording.
Indeed, those who disbelieve إن الذين كفروا ...
[Al-Baqarah 2:6]
Well done. This verse in Surat al-Anfal is exactly like this verse:
Indeed, those who disbelieve spend their wealth to avert [people] from the way of Allah. So they will spend it; then it will be for them a [source of] regret; then they will be overcome. And those who have disbelieved - unto Hell they will be gathered. إن الذين كفروا ينفقون أموالهم ليصدوا عن سبيل الله فسينفقونها ثم تكون عليهم حسرة ثم يغلبون والذين كفروا إلى جهنم يحشرون
[Al-Anfal 8:36]
. If a disbeliever boasts of the strength, wealth, and children he has, with what does the believer respond to this boasting? We say: This will not avail you anything from Allah. Yes? And if Allah the Exalted had willed, He would have taken revenge on you, but Allah tests His servants with one another. Is that clear? What do you say?
