How is the speed of the Reckoning ordered after disbelief in the verse: “And whoever disbelieves in the verses of Allah, then indeed Allah is swift in reckoning”?

Machine translationRead the Arabic original
The questioner : How is it correct to order the speed of the Reckoning after disbelief?

The Shaykh : Because there is no speed of the Reckoning for disbelief. Whether they disbelieved or did not disbelieve, is that not so? Now, what is the answer? Yes, O Muhammad? This is Allah the Exalted mentioning it as a threat. You have done well. We mentioned this; it is for the purpose of threat.

The questioner : What is meant by threat?

The Shaykh : Yes, the meaning is a threat to these people, just as if I say to a person whom I have commanded to do something: “Look, if you disobey me, then my striking is severe.”
