Satan whispers in the hearts, but does he know what is in them?

Machine translationRead the Arabic original
The Shaykh : There is no doubt that Satan sits upon the heart to test it, because he flows through the son of Adam as blood flows. Then, if he sees that the heart is strong, meaning he is unable to overcome it, he is unable to overcome it, just as Satan used to flee from 'Umar ibn al-Khattab (may Allah be pleased with him); whenever he took a path, Satan would take another path. And if he finds softness and negligence in the heart, he increases it in softness and negligence. And if he finds strength in it, he tries to increase it in extremism and excess.

The Shaykh : Allah knows best, but there is no doubt that he tests the hearts.

The Shaykh : But Allah has mentioned its good.
(30) The Day every soul will find what it has done of good present [before it] and what it has done of evil, it will wish that between itself and that [evil] was a great distance. And Allah warns you of Himself, and Allah is Kind to [His] servants." (31) Say, [O Muhammad], "If you should love Allah, then follow me, [so] Allah will love you and forgive you your sins. And Allah is Forgiving and Merciful." (32) Say, "Obey Allah and the Messenger." But if they turn away - then indeed, Allah does not like the disbelievers. يوم تجد كل نفس ما عملت من خير محضرا وما عملت من سوء يود لو أن بينها وبينه أمدا بعيدا ويحذركم الله نفسه والله رءوف بالعباد قل إن كنتم تحبون الله فاتبعوني يحببكم الله ويغفر لكم ذنوبكم والله غفور رحيم قل أطيعوا الله والرسول فإن تولوا فإن الله لا يحب الكافرين
[Ali 'Imran 3:30-32]
I seek refuge in Allah from the accursed Satan. Allah the Mighty and Majestic said:
The Day every soul will find what it has done of good present يوم تجد كل نفس ما عملت من خير محضرا
[Ali 'Imran 3:30]
And I think we have not grasped the benefits? From where?
Say, "Whether you conceal قل إن تخفوا
[Ali 'Imran 3:29]
