The benefits of the verse: ((To the men belongs a share of what the parents and close relatives leave behind...)).

Machine translationRead the Arabic original
Among the benefits of this verse is the precedence of men over women, even in matters where they share in entitlement. The indication of this is:
To the men belongs a share and to the women belongs a share للرجال نصيب وللنساء نصيب
This is the prescribed, reasonable, and natural order: that men should take precedence over women. The opposite of this is among those whose hearts Allah has turned away, the disbelievers and those who are detested by Him, who place women before men. They say, for example, "O sisters and brothers" or "O ladies and gentlemen." This is a great error, because men take precedence over women and are their protectors. But there is no sin greater than disbelief. These disbelievers see women as playthings, so they place them first to attract their hearts and win their affection, so that they may be kind to them. This is because, as Allah the Exalted described them:
but those who disbelieve enjoy themselves and eat as grazing livestock eat, and the Fire will be a residence for them. والذين كفروا يتمتعون ويأكلون كما تأكل الأنعام والنار مثوى لهم
[Muhammad 47:12]
They have no concern except for this world. So one who has little insight and weak faith took this contempt from them and swallowed it, without considering the consequences, and that by doing so they are contradicting the way of the Shari'ah, the sound fitrah, and sound reason. Among its benefits is the clarification that it is Islam that vindicated the woman and gave her her right after she was oppressed in the pre-Islamic age of ignorance. What is the indication?
and for women is a share of what the parents and close relatives leave وللنساء نصيب مما ترك الوالدان والأقربون
[An-Nisa 4:7]
However, the religion of Islam did not give the woman more than her right, nor did it lower her status beyond her place. Rather, it gave her the right befitting her, which is known—praise be to Allah—in the Book of Allah and the Sunnah of His Messenger (peace and blessings be upon him). Among its benefits is that the men and women who are entitled to inheritance are entitled to it, whether what the deceased left behind is much or little, as He said:
be it little or much مما قل منه أو كثر
[An-Nisa 4:7]
. Among its benefits is the warning against what some people today are negligent about. A person dies leaving behind his wife and daughters, and he has paternal uncles who are residuary heirs but are not in the house. You find the deceased's relatives eating from the food in the house and benefiting from its appliances, such as refrigerators and others, without seeking permission from those who have a right in the inheritance. This is not permissible, because when the deceased dies, his wealth, which was personally his, becomes distributed among his heirs. Every heir is entitled to a share of this inheritance, whether the wealth is little or much. This matter is something that students of knowledge should alert the general public to, because the general public may not understand it. Otherwise, they have—praise be to Allah—scrupulousness. They have scrupulousness regarding this, but they do not understand it. Among its benefits is that this share is obligatory, as He said:
A prescribed share نصيبا مفروضا
. Among its benefits is the permissibility of omitting what is known. From where? From His saying:
Prescribed مفروضا
Who is the one who makes it obligatory? Allah. But it was omitted, and the description of the object was made clear because it is known. It is like His saying:
and mankind was created weak. وخلق الإنسان ضعيفا
[An-Nisa 4:28]
And who created it? Allah the Exalted.
