The benefits derived from the saying of the Exalted: << يوم تشهد عليهم ألسنتهم و أيديهم و أرجلهم بما كانوا يعملون >>.

In this verse is the affirmation of the resurrection and the affirmation of recompense, and that recompense is of the same kind as the deed. And what is the evidence? His saying: testifying to what they used to do, neither adding nor subtracting. In it is also the perfection of the power of Allah (Mighty and Majestic), in that these limbs speak, even though speech is usually by the tongue. But if Allah (Mighty and Majestic) wills, everything speaks. The skins say: "We have been made to speak by Allah, Who has made everything to speak."
