The questioner : They say: We know that Iblis is the father of the devils, so how do the devils multiply and how do they pass on?
The Shaykh : Praise be to Allah, Lord of the worlds, and may peace and blessings be upon our Prophet Muhammad, and upon his family and all his Companions. We say: There is no doubt that Iblis is the father of the jinn, as Allah the Exalted said:[Ar-Rahman 55:15] And His statement regarding Iblis, as he addressed the Lord of Majesty (Glorified and Exalted is He): [Al-A'raf 7:12] And His statement, the Exalted: [Al-Kahf 18:50] These matters have clear evidence that the devil has offspring and that the jinn are his offspring. But how is that? We have no knowledge of it, and it is among the matters where ignorance of it does no harm and knowledge of it brings no benefit, and Allah knows best.
The questioner : His second question says: You stated that extending the hair, plucking the eyebrows, and dyeing the hair are forbidden for women, so what is the ruling regarding that for men?
The Shaykh : Did I say?
The questioner : ... He means in the program, the program "Light on the Path," yes.
The Shaykh : You said that it is?

And He created the jinn from a smokeless flame of fire.
وَخَلَقَ الْجَانَّ مِنْ مَارِجٍ مِنْ نَارٍI am better than him. You created me from fire and created him from clay."
أَنَا خَيْرٌ مِنْهُ خَلَقْتَنِي مِنْ نَارٍ وَخَلَقْتَهُ مِنْ طِينٍThen will you take him and his descendants as allies other than Me while they are enemies to you?
أَفَتَتَّخِذُونَهُ وَذُرِّيَّتَهُ أَوْلِيَاءَ مِنْ دُونِي وَهُمْ لَكُمْ عَدُوٌّThe questioner : His second question says: You stated that extending the hair, plucking the eyebrows, and dyeing the hair are forbidden for women, so what is the ruling regarding that for men?
