As for the common saying among people: "May your life be as long as Shu'ayb's", this is well-known to us; I do not know if it is known to you? When they want to invoke long life for people, they say "May your life be as long as Shu'ayb's". They think that Shu'ayb's life was the longest of lifespans, but this is not correct. What has reached us from the Book of Allah (Glorified and Exalted is He) is that the longest-lived person was Nuh. This is what has reached us.
