Reading from the author's text with commentary on it and collating the manuscripts: "As for the abode of Islam and migration, in which Allah honored His religion

Machine translationRead the Arabic original
The reader: "As for the abode of Islam and migration in which Allah honored His religion and imposed upon the disbelievers therein humiliation and the jizyah, therein the divergence was legislated. And when it becomes apparent that agreement and divergence differ for them according to the difference in time and place"

The Shaykh : And when it becomes apparent
The reader: "And when it becomes apparent that agreement and divergence differ"

The Shaykh : No, and divergence from them
The reader: I have with me, and divergence from them differs for them

The Shaykh : No, there is no error of transposition in your copy
The reader: In two places it says that it differs and the place, and all of it is missing from the printed edition

The Shaykh : Leave this talk; what I have is clear: "And when it becomes apparent that agreement and divergence from them differ," this is the correct order.
The reader: "And when it becomes apparent that agreement and divergence from them differ according to the difference in time and place, the reality of the hadiths in this matter becomes apparent.
The second aspect: Even if we assume that this was not abrogated, the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) was the one who had the right to agree with them, because he knew their truth from their falsehood by what Allah taught him, and we follow him. As for us, it is not permissible for us to take anything of the religion from them, neither from their words nor from their deeds, by the consensus of the Muslims, which is known by necessity from the religion of the Messenger"

The Shaykh : which is known
The reader: "by the consensus of the Muslims, which is known by necessity from the religion of the Messenger (peace and blessings be upon him). And if a man were to say: It is recommended for us to agree with the People of the Book who exist in our time, he would have gone out of the religion of the community.
The third: That we say according to its implication: It pleased him to agree with the People of the Book in matters"

The Shaykh : That we say
The reader: "That we say according to its implication"

The Shaykh : According to its implication
The reader: "That we say according to its implication: It pleased him to agree with the People of the Book in matters in which he was not commanded anything, then he was commanded to diverge from them, and we were commanded to follow his guidance and the guidance of his predecessors, the first of the emigrants and the helpers. And the matter is only that we are forbidden from imitating them in what the Salaf of the community did not do. As for what the Salaf of the community did, there is no doubt about it, whether they did it or left it. For we do not leave what Allah commanded because the disbelievers do it, even though Allah".
