The reader: "Know that if we had not seen that their conformity had led to"

The Shaykh : Know, know
The reader: "Know that if we had not seen that their conformity had led to these abominations, our knowledge of the nature of human dispositions and our reasoning based on the principles of the Shari'ah would have necessitated prohibiting this means. How much more so, now that we have seen the abominations to which imitation has led, which may necessitate exiting Islam entirely? The secret of this argument is that imitation leads to disbelief or sin, usually, or leads to them in general. There is no benefit in that which leads to this, and that which leads to it is forbidden: so imitation is forbidden. There is no doubt in the second premise, for the survey of the Shari'ah in its instances and sources indicates that that which leads to disbelief—usually—is forbidden, that which leads to it in a hidden manner is forbidden, and that which leads to it in general, with no need calling for it, is forbidden, as we have discussed the rule of blocking the means in other than this book"
"And the first premise has been attested to by reality with a testimony that is not hidden from one who has insight or one who is blind, while leading to a result is a natural matter that the Lawgiver has considered in most of the means that He blocked, as we have mentioned regarding the evidence for that: approximately thirty principles, either explicitly stated or agreed upon, in the book: (The Invalidity of Making the Forbidden Permissible)"

The Shaykh : This is a famous book by him (may Allah have mercy on him), (The Invalidity of Making the Forbidden Permissible). He wrote great works in it that a student of knowledge should not be ignorant of. Yes, yes.
