Machine translationRead the Arabic original
The reader: He said, "This is a research paper on the tracing of the hadith
O God, bless us in Rajab and Sha'ban and bring us to Ramadan. اللهم بارك لنا في رجب وشعبان وبلغنا رمضان
Mishkat al-Masabih 1369
The hadith was narrated by al-Bazzar in his Musnad, al-Tabarani in al-Awsat, al-Bayhaqi in Fada'il al-Awtar, Ahmad in the Musnad, and al-Tabrizi in Mishkat al-Masabih, al-Haythami in Majma' al-Zawa'id, Majma' al-Bahrain in the additions to the Mu'jams, al-Dailami in al-Firdaws in Ma'thur al-Khitab with the same wording with the addition of
And help us in fasting and standing in prayer, lowering the gaze, and guarding the tongue, and do not make our share from it hunger and sleeplessness. وأعنا على الصيام والقيام وغض البصر وحفظ اللسان ولا تجعل حظنا منه الجوع والسهر
, Ibn Asakir in his Tarikh, and al-Bayhaqi in Shu'ab al-Iman."

The Shaykh : Asakir
The reader: And Ibn Asakir

The Shaykh : Asakir with tanwin
The reader: Ibn Asakir

The Shaykh : Yes.
The reader: And Ibn Asakir in his Tarikh, and al-Bayhaqi in Shu'ab al-Iman. Ibn Rajab mentioned it in his book Layali al-Ma'arif. Regarding the judgment on the chain of narration: The chain contains Zayd ibn Abi al-Riqad and Ziyad al-Namiri. As for Zayd, al-Bukhari said "His hadith is munkar (denounced)", and al-Nasa'i said "I do not know what it is", and Abu Dawud said "I do not know his report". See Mizan al-I'tidal by al-Dhahabi and Tahdhib al-Kamal by al-Mizzi. Ibn Hajar said about him "His hadith is munkar (denounced)"
And as for Ziyad al-Namiri, he is weak, as stated by Ibn Hajar. Yahya ibn Ma'in said "Weak", and in another narration "There is no harm in him", and in a third "There is weakness in his hadith". Abu Hatim said "His hadith is judged (critiqued) and he is not relied upon as a proof", and al-Daraqutni said "He is not strong". Ibn Hibban mentioned him in al-Thiqat, then repeated him in al-Majruhin. Abu Hatim al-Razi said in his book al-Jarh wa al-Ta'dil: "Abd al-Rahman said 'I asked my father about Zayd ibn Abi al-Riqad, and he said: He narrates from Ziyad al-Namiri from Anas marfu' (traced to the Prophet) hadiths that are munkar (denounced), so we do not know if it is from him or from Ziyad. I do not know that he narrated from anyone other than Ziyad, so we considered his hadith.'"
Abd Allah al-Ansari said "Nothing authentic has come regarding the virtue of Rajab and fasting in it from the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him)". See Jannat al-Murtab by al-Mawsili.
Shaykh al-Islam Ibn Taymiyyah (may Allah have mercy on him) said in al-Majmu' "As for fasting in Rajab specifically, all its hadiths are weak, rather fabricated. The scholars do not rely on any of them. They are not among the weak hadiths narrated regarding virtues, but most of them are fabricated lies. Most of what is narrated in this regard is that the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him)
when Rajab came God’s Messenger said, “O God, bless us in Rajab and Sha'ban and bring us to Ramadan.” كان إذا دخل رجب يقول اللهم بارك لنا في رجب وشعبان وبلغنا رمضان
Mishkat al-Masabih 1369
"

And His Eminence Shaykh Muhammad al-Uthaymeen (may Allah preserve him) said "As for the Sunnah, nothing has come regarding its exaltation. For this reason, they said that everything narrated regarding the virtue of fasting in it or praying in it is a lie, by the consensus of the scholars of hadith". This concludes the presentation by Ihab ibn Nader.

The Shaykh : Well, may Allah bless you. The conclusion is that it is a weak hadith. Perhaps the Shaykh (may Allah have mercy on him), by saying that it is established, did not look into its weakness. A person is human and does not encompass everything. Yes.
