The reader: "And there are many hadiths and athar in this chapter, but this is not the place to enumerate them. These mosques built over the graves of the prophets, the righteous, kings, and others—must be removed by demolition or otherwise. I am not aware of any disagreement among the renowned scholars on this point.
Prayer in them is disliked, and I am not aware of any disagreement on that either. In our school, it is not valid on the surface of the madhhab, due to the prohibition and curse that have come regarding this, and other hadiths.
There is no disagreement in this issue regarding the fact that only one person is buried there. Rather, our companions differed regarding a bare cemetery without a mosque: is its limit three graves, or is prayer prohibited at a single grave even if there is no other grave nearby? On two views."
.

The Shaykh : The correct view is that it is not permissible. As long as this land is prepared as a cemetery, even if there is only one grave in it, prayer in it is not valid. Prayer is not valid in anything that is within its enclosure, because it is a cemetery in reality from the first grave, and by ruling for the rest.
